On May 19, Vote in the Primary Election for Morrisville Democratic Ward Committee Persons

Every election season, voters see signs, campaign literature, and reminders to head to the polls. What many people don’t see is the group of local volunteers working throughout the year to help make sure their neighbors are informed and ready to participate.

In Morrisville, that grassroots work happens through ward committee members — residents who volunteer their time to help connect their neighborhoods with the democratic process.

Committee members help register new voters, including residents who have recently moved into town. They share information about upcoming elections, distribute literature in neighborhoods, and help neighbors understand their voting options, including mail-in ballots. Throughout the year they also participate in organizing efforts that support civic engagement and encourage voter participation.

As elections approach, these volunteers play an important role in Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts. That can include canvassing neighborhoods, reminding residents about upcoming election dates, and helping answer questions about where and how to vote. On Election Day, many volunteers also assist with activities that help ensure voters have the information they need to cast their ballots.

Across Morrisville’s four wards, Democrats who are actively involved are:

1st Ward: Maria Casale and Kathryn Price Engelhard

2nd Ward: Nancy Sherlock and Kathryn Panzitta

3rd Ward: Peggy Walsh and George Dodig

4th Ward: Sylvester Bell and Rebecca Guzman

Together, these neighbors help build the local network that keeps voters informed and engaged.

A strong turnout in this primary will position us to win in the fall.  Vote May 19 for a strong Democratic team who is committed to democratic values and getting Democrats elected. Help make sure that Morrisville residents have the information and encouragement they need to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
