As communities across the country prepare to celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary in 2026, Lower Southampton Township is gearing up for one of its longest-standing traditions — the annual Fourth of July Parade.
Scheduled for Saturday, July 4, the parade will once again bring residents together for an afternoon of patriotic celebration, community spirit, and hometown pride. Organizers have selected "Red, White & You" as this year's theme, highlighting the role local residents play in making the event a success.
The parade is set to begin at 1 p.m. and will proceed through the township as families, community organizations, local businesses, first responders, veterans groups, and performers take part in the Independence Day tradition. In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be held on Saturday, July 11.
For many Lower Southampton residents, the Fourth of July Parade has become a cherished annual tradition that brings neighbors together while honoring the country's independence.
The 2026 celebration carries added significance as communities nationwide commemorate the United States' semiquincentennial, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
As planning continues, organizers are seeking volunteers, sponsors, and donations to help support the event.
Organizers say community support is essential to maintaining the annual tradition and ensuring the parade remains a highlight of the township's Independence Day celebrations.
Residents interested in participating, volunteering, sponsoring, or donating can contact the Lower Southampton Fourth of July Parade Committee at 215-668-3613 or by email at LS4thofJulyParadeCommittee@gmail.com.
Parade registration forms and additional information are available on the township website.
