The Rotary Club of Langhorne proudly recognized outstanding students from Bucks County Technical High School during its recent meeting held at the Irish Rover.

The club honored Carter Nagel as Student of the Month. Carter is a student in the school’s Machine Technology program and has distinguished himself through both academic and extracurricular achievements.

According to school counselor Mrs. McWilliams, “Carter demonstrates a rare combination of precision, curiosity, and initiative.” Carter earned first place in CNC Programming at the SkillsUSA State Competition and went on to place third nationally in the National Machining League. In addition to his technical accomplishments, he is actively involved in the drama club stage crew, Reading Olympics, and the machine technology club, where he designed and created a trophy for a local car show.

The Rotary Club also presented the Eugene Hieber Scholarship to Jaidyn New, a student in the Collision Repair program.

Collision Repair instructor Mr. Bacon praised Jaidyn for her growth and perseverance throughout her senior year. “Through hard work, perseverance, and overcoming adversity and self-doubt, she has developed into a confident and highly skilled student,” he said.

Jaidyn earned first place in the SkillsUSA Collision Damage Analysis District Competition and placed fourth at the state level. She also achieved Advanced scores on both her written and performance NOCTI assessments. Known for her positive attitude and willingness to help fellow students, Jaidyn plans to attend college to study business with the goal of one day managing or owning a collision repair shop.

In recognition of her selfless service to the Langhorne community, Jaidyn was also awarded one of the Rotary Club of Langhorne’s Walter T. Styer Scholarships.

The Rotary Club of Langhorne congratulates these students on their accomplishments and looks forward to seeing their continued success in the future.

The Langhorne Rotary Club, chartered in 1961, is part of Rotary District 7450 and continues to support a variety of service projects, including scholarships for local students, food drives, environmental cleanups, and international humanitarian efforts.

New members are always welcome. The club meets regularly at Irish Rover Station House (1033 S Bellevue Ave. in Langhorne) on the first and third Thursday of the month at 12 pm.
