Seventy years ago, a Navy veteran returned home from World War II with dreams of a brighter future. In 1955, Tom Adams Sr. turned that dream into reality by launching what would become one of the most respected family-owned home improvement businesses in the Tri-State Area: Tom Adams Windows and Carpets.
It all began with humble determination. After moving to Bucks County, Tom sought extra income to support his growing family. By night, he sold storm windows door-to-door and installed them during the day. Eventually, he rented a barn to commit to his venture fully. Focusing on quality and customer care, the business quickly gained momentum and became a trusted name in the community.
As the years went by, opportunities for growth emerged. Replacement windows surged in popularity, prompting Tom Adams to expand the product line to include flooring, storm doors, and more. The business name evolved to reflect this broader range of offerings, and the company grew to four locations. Throughout this time, Tom’s four children played an integral role, learning the business from the ground up and continuing the family legacy.
Today, under the second generation's leadership, Tom Adams Windows and Carpets remains true to its founding principles: “Quality Products, Quality Installation, and Take Care of Your Customers.” These values have earned the company numerous awards and a reputation for excellence.
