Wrapping up Medicare Annual Open Enrollment and giving back this Holiday Season

Posted

December gets busy fast, and for anyone on Medicare, it’s also the final stretch of the Annual Enrollment Period. AEP ends on December 7, which means these last days are your chance to double-check your coverage and make sure you’re set for 2026.

And if your Medicare Advantage plan is terminating for 2026, you actually get extra time to make a change. You’re not boxed in by the December 7 deadline. The key is knowing your options and not waiting until the last minute.

I’m John Freitag, and my wife Stephanie and I have grown the Freitag Family Insurance Agency here in Trevose. We’ve built our agency around helping our neighbors understand Medicare without the stress or confusion. December is our busiest month, but it’s also the most important. This is when small changes in a plan can make a big difference in your care and your costs next year.

Every day, we’re meeting with local seniors to review doctors, prescriptions, and upcoming 2026 plan changes. Some people keep exactly what they have. Others switch to avoid losing a doctor or to save money on medications. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but reviewing your plan absolutely matters.

December is also a time for giving back, and our family is proud to support a local toy drive through Stephanie’s women’s networking group. Donations can be dropped off at Mama Russo’s Pizzeria on Brownsville Road in Trevose. The toy drive runs through December 8, and every donation goes directly to local kids who could use a little extra cheer this season.

If you need help with Medicare or want a quick year-end review, we’re here for you. For more information, call 267-255-8774 or visit FreitagFamilyAgency.com.

We are located in the Neshaminy Interplex in Trevose.

Wishing you a warm, safe, and happy holiday season from our family to yours.
