Celebrate Easter at Newtown United Methodist Church

Posted

Easter is a season filled with hope, renewal, and fresh beginnings, and Newtown United Methodist Church (NUMC) warmly invites the community to come and share in that joy. For generations, NUMC has been a welcoming presence, committed to serving the spiritual needs of a community that continues to grow and change.

Those who attend often describe the church not simply as a building, but as an extended family—people caring for one another and walking together in the spirit and teachings of Jesus Christ. Whether you are curious about faith, returning to church after time away, new to Christianity, or a lifelong believer, there is a place for you at NUMC.

The church’s vision is to be a spiritually vibrant, multi-generational community where people of all ages feel welcomed, supported, and inspired. Pastor Rodney Brailsford shares that the congregation believes in a personal relationship with God, rooted in unconditional love, that can transform lives and help people discover their capacity for good.

All are welcome to celebrate with us on Easter, April 5, starting with a continental breakfast at 9 am—a wonderful opportunity to connect with neighbors and friends before worship. Our Easter worship service begins at 10 am and will feature special music and an inspiring message of new life and hope. A special children’s Easter event during the service ensures that younger members of the family can participate in a meaningful and engaging way.

As Easter approaches, Newtown United Methodist Church encourages neighbors, families, and friends to come together in worship and reflection in a world that often feels busy and uncertain. First-time visitors are especially welcome. Newtown United Methodist Church is located at 35 Liberty Street. Visit our website at www.newtownumc.com for more information. We hope to see you Easter morning.
