It’s that time of year again, Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is officially here. From now through December 7, anyone on Medicare can review their coverage, make changes, or switch plans for 2026.
If you read our last article, you already know a bit about who we are. I’m John Freitag, and alongside my wife Stephanie, we run Freitag Family Insurance Agency right here in Trevose. We’re lifelong Bucks County residents raising our three kids in the same community we serve. Helping our neighbors navigate Medicare isn’t just our work, it’s personal.
This year, reviewing your plan is especially important. Several Medicare Advantage plans are leaving the market for 2026, and others are changing their doctor networks, copays, and drug formularies. Even if you’re happy with your plan, it’s worth checking to make sure it’s still the right fit for your needs next year.
Every fall, we meet with hundreds of local seniors to help compare options, confirm their doctors are still in-network, and ensure their prescriptions are covered affordably. Sometimes that means keeping the same plan; other times, a simple switch saves hundreds of dollars. The key is reviewing, not assuming.
If Medicare feels confusing, you’re not alone. That’s why we host free monthly “New to Medicare” seminars at the Lower Southampton Township Building (Sarah Mitchell Center). We also offer one-on-one reviews at our Trevose office.
Medicare changes every year, but you don’t have to tackle it alone. We’re here to help you understand your options and make confident, informed decisions about your healthcare coverage. Call us at 267-255-8774 or visit FreitagFamilyAgency.com.
