The young prospect makes way for returning vets.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced Monday, November 2, that the team had loaned Alex Bump to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League [AHL].

The move followed the team’s Sunday announcement that it would activate forwards Travis Konecny and Owen Tippett off injured reserve.

The two forwards suited up for the team's 6-3 win over the Utah Mammoth on Sunday afternoon. In his return, Konecny recorded one goal and one assist, while Tippett skated for 13:31 and recorded one shot on goal.

The 22-year-old will now head back to the AHL as the Flyers continue to see players return from injury designation. With Cole Knuble finding his footing at the NHL level much sooner, it's left the former fifth-round pick out in the cold.

Bump heads back to Lehigh Valley after making 8 appearances, scoring 0 points and a -1 rating. In 2025, he notched 5 goals and 4 assists through 17 games.

The Flyers will play again on Tuesday, November 3, against the Minnesota Wild.
